Supplementary regulations Ski&Golf World Championship
Wednesday, 07.05. – Sunday, 11.05.2025
Eligible to participate
Amateurs who are members of a regular member club affiliated with the Austrian Golf Association (ÖGV) or a foreign national association, and who have a World Handicap Index (WHI) of max. 18, as well as teaching and playing pros, are eligible to take part. Skiers should be able to master a giant slalom.

Thursday, 08.05.2025
Venue: Kaprun, Kitzsteinhorn – “Gletscherpiste 3“
Start: 10 am
Giant slalom in one heat - racing time of the fastest skiers approx. 40 seconds
To obtain an adjusted stroke count, the time of the ski race is multiplied by 3 and then rounded down at 0.50 sec. and rounded up from 0.51 sec.
Starting order:
- Group 1: the top 30 participants (men's overall ranking) from last year
- Group 2: ladies and masters
- Group 3: remaining men according to WHI
In case of elimination in the giant slalom, a maximum time of 60 seconds will be included in the classification.
Important information:
- Postponement Date: In case of bad weather, the golf day 1 will be moved to Thursday, and the ski race will be postponed to Friday.
- Final Decision: Will be made on the Monday before the race.
- Course Inspection: 9:00 - 9:30 AM (not at race speed) - Please follow the ski club's instructions regarding the possibility of inspecting the course outside or inside the race track. These instructions will be announced on-site depending on the weather conditions.
- Official Timetable: Next to the finish line outside the restricted area.
- Results: Timetable, announcement via loudspeaker.
- Mandatory Insurance: Every participant must sign or agree to a liability waiver when registering.
- Helmet Requirement: Helmets are mandatory for the ski race.
Race Management: Michael Amon, Magdalena Heitzmann, Josef Rattensperger
The race committee reserves the right to make changes to the announcement until the first start. The decisions of the race committee are final.
Golf
Friday, 09.05.2025 and Saturday, 10.05.2025
The game will be played according to the Official Rules of Golf of R&A Rules Limited, the specifications and playing regulations of the Austrian Golf Association, the current ÖGV competition regulations for club tournaments and the current course rules of the Zell am See - Kaprun - Saalbach Golf Club (on display).
Start day 1: according to WHI (pros will be drawn by lot)
Start day 2: according to overall result ski and golf day 1
Play-off: in the event of a tie, a hole-by-hole play-off (sudden death play-off) will be held in the order determined by the competition committee.
The tournament will take place on the 'Kitzsteinhorn' course on both day 1 and day 2.

- Youth born in or after 2008
- General born 2007-1991
- Mid-amateurs born 1990-1976

- Masters born in or before 1960
Team classification:
A team consists of 4 participants. The 3 best results per day count towards the ranking. Therefore, the minimum number of participants per team is 3 people

Includes the following services per person:
- Starting gifts
- 1 day ski pass
- 1 trial game, 2 tournament games (trial game possible from Monday, 5.5.)
- Halfway catering during the 2 tournament days on the course
- Catering after the ski race on the Kitzsteinhorn in the finish area (each participant will receive a meal and a drink of their choice)
- Catering Friday and Saturday at the restaurant (one meal and one drink per participant per day)

The competition committee reserve the right to make changes to the supplementary regulations up to the 1st start. The decisions of the competition committee are final.
