Supplementary regulations Ski & Golf World Championship

Wednesday, 08.05. – Sunday, 12.05.2024


Eligible to participate

Amateurs who are members of a regular member club affiliated with the Austrian Golf Association (ÖGV) or a foreign national association, and who have a World Handicap Index (WHI) of max. 18, as well as teaching and playing pros, are eligible to take part. Skiers should be able to master a giant slalom.

Ski
Thursday, 09.05.2024
Venue: Kaprun, Kitzsteinhorn – “Gletscherpiste 3“
Start: 10 am

Giant slalom in one heat - racing time of the fastest skiers approx. 36 seconds

To obtain an adjusted stroke count, the time of the ski race is multiplied by 2 and then rounded down at 0.50 sec. and rounded up from 0.51 sec.

Starting order:

  1. Group: skiers with FIS points or national points/by draw (only the best 15 from the entire starting field)
  2. Group: ladies and masters
  3. Group: best 30 skiers of the previous year according to skiing results
  4. Group: according to WHI

In case of elimination in the giant slalom, a maximum time of 60 seconds will be included in the classification.

Changes due to weather conditions are possible!

 

Golf
Friday, 10.05.2024 and Saturday, 11.05.2024

The game will be played according to the Official Rules of Golf of R&A Rules Limited, the specifications and playing regulations of the Austrian Golf Association, the current ÖGV competition regulations for club tournaments and the current course rules of the Zell am See - Kaprun - Saalbach Golf Club (on display).

Start day 1: according to WHI (pros will be drawn by lot)

Start day 2: according to overall result ski and golf day 1

Play-off: in the event of a tie, a hole-by-hole play-off (sudden death play-off) will be held in the order determined by the competition committee.

from 8am on both courses

Stroke play without handicap

 

Individual scoring:

Ski & Golf World Champion – women and men

 

Age groups:
  • Youth born in or after 2006
  • General born 2005-1990
  • Mid-amateurs born 1989-1975
  • Seniors born 1974-1959
  • Masters born in or before 1958

 

Team classification:

A team consists of 4 participants.
The 3 best results per day are taken into account.  
(Day 1 SKI, day  2-1st game of golf, day 3-2nd game of golf) 
Minimum number of participants per team therefore 3 persons.

  • Best Women's Team
  • Best Men's Team
  • Best Mixed Team
  • Best Seniors Team (born in or before 1974)

Tournament fee:
  • € 450.00 individual starter
  • € 1,680.00 team of 4 starters

includes the following services per person:

  • 1 day ski pass
  • 1 trial game, 2 tournament games (trial game possible from Monday, 6.5.) 
  • Halfway catering during the 2 tournament days on the course
  • Catering after the ski race on the Kitzsteinhorn
  • Catering Friday and Saturday at the restaurant (one meal and one drink per participant per day)
  • Evening event Friday at the golf course
  • Award ceremony party with DJ and barbecue after the golf tournament
  • Starter gifts

Official notice board: next to the finish line outside the cordon

Results: Time board, announcement via loudspeaker

Compulsory insurance: Each participant must sign or agree to a disclaimer when registering.

The competition committee reserve the right to make changes to the supplementary regulations up to the 1st start. The decisions of the competition committee are final.
